Republican compliments Democrats
Recently, a Republican Senator gave compliments to three Democrats and only a quick good word to the Republicans. How could that be? Why would a man who supports the Republican party support Obama, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton? Is it possible that he sensed the Democrats were winning and succumbed to peer pressure? My theory is that he suddenly thought Barack Obama's plans were better and so switched to supporting him. But still, isn't that weird?

what did the republican say to the three democrats? What did the republican say about the other republican? Who is the republican that you are talking about?
I have to ask the same as KIran. Also, do you believe that just because McCain compliments the Democrats, he supports them? I personally think that he was being gentlemanly and polite, but it all sort of depends on what he said.

Why do you think it's weird if Sen. McCain complemented 3 Democrats? I think it's perfectly fine. A lot of people in Washington think it's always Democrats vs. Republicans. Republicans and Democrats should be working together rather than play party politics.
